Section: Support the Regenerative Africa Library

The Regenerative Africa Library is raising Year 1 launch capital from three types of supporters: donors, sponsors, and impact investors. Foundations, companies, cultural institutions, networks, and individuals can participate in any of these roles. The right role depends on what a supporter wants in return — nothing beyond impact, defined visibility and engagement benefits, or a financial return alongside impact.

Africa faces intersecting crises: accelerating climate impacts, catastrophic biodiversity loss, and the danger that vulnerable communities will be left behind in the transition to low-carbon economies. Although the continent contributes only a small fraction of global emissions, it is among the most exposed to climate shocks and ecosystem degradation. The Regenerative Africa Library exists to ensure African writers can speak directly to these realities and help shape more just, regenerative futures for Africa and the entire world. Your support makes that platform visible and durable.

Section: Donors

Donors give to RAL as a gift, with no expectation of financial return. Their support funds the Year 1 launch campaign and the open-access period during which the library builds its global audience, credibility, and community.

Donors can choose to give quietly or to be listed publicly. Public recognition is offered at tiered levels:

  • Founding Donor (gifts of $10,000 and above)
  • Supporting Donor (gifts of $1,000–$9,999)
  • Community Donor (gifts up to $999)

All donors receive impact updates on how their gift is helping to bring African regenerative voices to the world.

Section: Impact Investors

Impact investors provide capital to RAL with the expectation of both measurable social impact and a financial return. Their investment supports the development of RAL’s longer-term revenue model, which is designed to become financially self-sustaining beginning in Years 2–3.

Investment terms, return structures, and due diligence materials are available upon request. Impact investors may also choose to be acknowledged publicly as launch investors, but their relationship with RAL is governed by an investment agreement, not a gift or sponsorship contract.

Section: Sponsors

Sponsors support the RAL launch and, in return, receive a defined package of visibility and engagement benefits. Sponsorship is suited to companies, foundations, cultural institutions, networks, and individuals who want both impact and clear public association with the library’s mission and launch.
